At Health Klinix, we feel that our organisation is a way of life. Health Klinix reflects the values we share and the vision we have towards a fitter, healthier and happier life for everyone.

Dr Ravi Gowda is a consultant physician in infectious diseases and founder of Health Klinix. His special interests are tropical and travel medicine with an additional focus on health & well-being. Dr Gowda has worked in major teaching hospitals in the UK for decades, but became increasingly frustrated at what he saw at the doorsteps of these centres of excellence. These amazing hospitals serve a very important purpose; they have highly skilled healthcare workers who make a real difference to people’s lives.

However, his concern was that patients were coming in for treatment during the very late stages of their disease. As a hospital specialist, he was trying to manage diseases like malaria, typhoid, advanced cancer, diabetes or stroke when they could have been identified, or even prevented, much earlier and with better outcomes.

We think the analogy is that we're helping people out of a river downstream but wouldn't it be better if we walked a bit further upstream, and find out why these people were falling into the river in the first place to try and prevent this happening?

Ravi Gowda

Founder and Medical Director

I’m a consultant physician in infectious diseases and founder of Health Klinix. I have had more than 30 years of expertise as a physician and been a national and international speaker in the fields of tropical & travel medicine with the British Infection Society, and The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.

These specialist skills and knowledge means we receive regional referrals for travel vaccination advice from other doctors and healthcare professionals. Therefore, you can be reassured that you and your family will receive health advice and vaccinations in a safe and trusted centre of excellence.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, I have also gained experience in a wide range of of medical specialties such as haematology, cancer medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine, cardiology, gastro-enterology, family medicine, diabetes and endocrinology and rural medicine. This has enabled our organisation to gain a deep and broad understanding of the impact of disease on both our physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Amy Tarpey
Head of Customer Experience

I joined the Health Klinix team in 2018, bringing with me over 15 years of administrative experience within the HR and Recruitment sectors.

Advanced Modern Apprenticeships in both Business Administration and Customer Service combined with a love of travel and the great outdoors make my skills and interests a perfect fit with the culture and demands of our busy clinic.

On many occasions, clients have commended me on my excellent communication skills and calm manner, particularly when it comes to keeping our younger clients distracted - being a mother myself, I knew those years of singing nursery rhymes and blowing bubbles would pay off one day!

Outside of work, I enjoy going for walks in the countryside, spending quality time with my family and curling up with a good book and a glass of wine.

Abhimanyu Gowda
Academic and Medical Advisor

I’m Abhimanyu, an Academic and Medical advisor at Health Klinix. I’m passionate about how understanding the science behind medicine can allow us all to lead happier and healthier lives.

An immunologist by training, I am currently undertaking a PhD in Medical Sciences at the University of Oxford, Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. I work on understanding the molecular mechanisms that enable pioneering new immunotherapy for leukaemia and other cancers.

Graduating from the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in Natural Sciences, I focused on pathology, specialising across cancer, genetic disease and immunology. I’ve also been a visiting researcher at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania (USA), where I worked on new immunotherapies for HIV. I’m experienced inthe field of healthcare/biopharmaceutical innovation, having previously consulted for a number of startups and investment firms specialising in biotech and new therapy development. I’m excited to bring my insight and expertise to Health Klinix, supporting our mission to help you stay happy and healthy.

Caitlin Lancaster
Administrator and Special Projects

I joined Health Klinix in 2021 and am loving being a part of the team. I graduated from the University of Warwick, where I studied Maths. Whilst at university, I found lectures about the maths behind spread of disease to be really interesting. Seeing how vaccinations can reduce this spread and help people led to me wanting to become involved with this in real life.

I have always enjoyed the organisational and problem-solving side of working as an administrator. I also had the chance to develop these skills further with some project management training, which has then allowed me to become more involved with larger projects. Outside of work I enjoy dancing, reading, and getting creative with a wide variety of crafts.

Mamta Gowda
Administration and Advisor in Oral Health

I am an experienced dental surgeon with over 20 years of experience in Dentistry. Your oral health is often a reflection of your general health and well-being, and my extensive experience as a dentist complements Health Klinix’s holistic ambition to help people lead fitter and healthier lives. My reassuring and empathetic manner helps me connect with my clients in both my dental clinic and at Health Klinix.

I’m also a mum to two lovely children and in my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, going for walks and cooking.
