Health Klinix is the leading provider of private travel vaccinations in Coventry and has been nationally recognised by the Royal College of Physicians of London for its services. We also have become a referral centre for complex travel vaccine clinic consultations for local GPs and other private vaccination clinics. This means you can be re-assured that the advice you receive is high quality, safe, professional and cost effective. In fact, we often save our clients money by avoiding unnecessary travel vaccinations. When you attend our clinic, one of our highly trained healthcare specialists will perform a careful risk assessment of you and your journey. Following this, they'll advise you on the travel vaccinations you need. We offer all specialist vaccinations at competitive prices.

  • As a private travel vaccination clinic we’re not funded by any government body or the NHS, so there’s a charge for all the travel injections you might need. You’ll also pay consultation fee of £30 for the advice that you receive.

At Health Klinix we try to provide value, which means a high quality travel vaccination service at reasonable prices. It’s possible that GPs are able to offer some of your travel vaccinations free of charge, however, this only applies to some of the vaccinations like tetanus, typhoid and Hepatitis A and you'll need to get your other vaccinations from a travel vaccine clinic like ours.

If you are classed as high risk, then you may require a more in depth travel consultation, which will cost £95 per person.

    This includes those who are:

    • pregnant

    • 60 or over and needing a yellow fever vaccine

    • travel consultations for infants aged 1 year or less (except BCG)

    • significantly immunosuppressed

    • allergic to eggs

    • any other severe vaccine related allergies

All bookings will be reviewed prior to the appointment, and if you meet any of the criteria above, we will notify you in advance and you may be charged the higher price. If you are unsure or think any of these criteria may apply to you, please contact us by email at hello@healthklinix.co.uk, or by phone on 02476 016519.

  • The travel vaccines you need for your trip are entirely dependent on an individual travel risk assessment. This depends on your health, the location, duration and type of journey you make. To give you a rough guide, you can search the travel vaccines you might need by country with our travel vaccination checker.

  • The travel vaccinations you might need varies depending on you as a person, on any underlying medical problems, your destination, the duration and the type of travel. For example, you’re at risk of serious side effects from yellow fever vaccination if you have a weakened immune system. So it’s vital that you undergo a thorough travel risk assessment by an expert travel clinic specialising in vaccinations.

  • Many travel vaccinations can be given together at the same visit to reduce the number of trips you make to our travel clinic.  However, some live vaccines cannot be given together and also some can’t be given in the same arm. Talk to our experts for advice.

  • This really depends on the travel vaccines you have. Most can give you a sore arm, swelling or redness. Other side effects of travel vaccinations can be serious, for example, anaphylaxis. That’s why it’s important to choose a travel vaccine clinic whose staff are fully trained in how to respond to an anaphylactic attack following vaccination - which the Health Klinix team are.

  • Most travel vaccinations are not compulsory but to stay well and avoid serious tropical illnesses, you should consider the recommended travel vaccinations. Some countries ask for a mandatory yellow fever vaccination or meningitis ACWY prior to entry. More information can be found in our individual country pages.

  • If you’re pregnant then you should only travel to some parts of the world  if it’s absolutely necessary. Most inactivated travel vaccinations can be given in pregnancy if the degree of risk justifies it. At Health Klinix, you will be guided by our experts’ recommendations following a careful risk assessment.
